Gratitude

We have been working on our yearly 'gratitude' project.  We put up a frame with white poster board in it and encourage everyone to jot down things they are grateful for throughout the month.
I love seeing it fill up with big and little things our family is thankful for.  I especially love all of Sam's little drawings - a bird's eye view of things he is thankful for.

"This is a wonderful time to be living here on earth. Our opportunities are limitless. While there are some things wrong in the world today, there are many things right, such as teachers who teach, ministers who minister, marriages that make it, parents who sacrifice, and friends who help.
"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues"

(Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, May 1992, 54).

Hidden Mickey's

[Searching the windows of Ramone's House of Body Art  in Cars Land]

One of our new favorite things to do at DisneyLand is to search for Hidden Mickey's.
We found a lot of them on this trip ... can you spot them in our pictures?

DisneyLand

We had so much fun exploring the new Cars Land!  It looked just like the movie - darling!

Some of our other favorites were...
 Tower or Terror
 Buzz Lightyear Blasters
 Dumbo
 Exploring Tom Sawyer's Island

Susie's favorite is Winnie the Pooh!

Halloween at Disneyland!

We had the once in a lifetime experience of celebrating Halloween at Mickey's Halloween party.
It was definitely crowded and crazy.    We had fun seeing all of the elaborate costumes people came in.  Then we Trick-or-Treated, went on all the rides transformed for Halloween, watched the costume parade and firework spectacular.

Susie was Winnie the Pooh and Sam was a Ninja Warrior
