4:00  Drop Ben back off at high school for soccer, miss calling 100.5 FM to try to win tickets to a Taylor Swift concert as Ben didn't want me to call and drive and I am trying to set a good example for my upcoming driver.

4:30  Steve stops at Subway on the way home to get dinner for Ben, then picks up Sam to go to the soccer game.

5:00  Susie and I arrive at WalMart to buy food and snacks for the Girl Scout troop for our camp this weekend (CSAW) ... but before we go in we call 100.5 FM to try to win tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, didn't get through :(

6:00  On our way home from grocery shopping Susie uses both of our phones and call 100.5 FM to try to win tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, she is caller 8!, but they were taking caller 10 :( ... so close!

6:10  Get dinner started.   Check e-mails.   Send e-mails.  Susie finishes up the last of her homework.  Steve and Sam get home from soccer game.  Eat Dinner.  Clean up.  Switch laundry.  Take baths.

7:00 Final try to win tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, didn't get through :(

8:00  Put Sam to bed  :)

8:30  Ben gets home from water polo game - wonder who he wanted to watch ;) -  Steve goes back to work to finish things up.

9:00  Susie goes to bed.  I start packing for the weekend and document this craziness on the blog!

9:30  Tell Ben he needs to get some sleep.

10:00 One final switch of laundry and then I am calling it a night ...  hoping work doesn't take Steve too much longer.

*Note:  This is a more or less typical day at our home - no time for eating bon bons here ;)

That's more right?

Last night I was putting Sam to bed and we were chatting about things like ... what tomorrow's schedule was (hour by hour), what new Parkour and scooter moves he is going to do, and whether or not Susie will win a trip to see Taylor Swift ...
Then I said,
"Sambo, you need to get some sleep now.  I love you to the moon and back!"
he quickly responded,
"well, I love you to the moon, to Santa Clause's house, to Hawaii and then to Grandma's house and back!  That is more right?"

Yep, it's more!  His chattering is so cute, melts my heart!

Scouting Update

At his latest Court of Honor, Ben added a little more bling to his uniform.
He loves a challenge - so the fact not many scouts earn these awards motivates him
... along with us regularly asking what he is currently working on :)

Second Silver Palm
Venturing Bronze Award - Sports

Imagine me saying ... "Please, just one more picture!"

This weekend we attended several Eagle Court of Honors.
Ben has been lucky to be surrounded with such good boys throughout scouting - these are a few of them.

Ben, Brad and Carson

Steve has been SO involved with Scouting and Ben's age group of boys.  Almost all the boys have their Eagle's done!  Along the way he has been honored with several mentor pins, from some of the boys at their Eagle Court of Honor's.  Moments like this mean a lot to him as he is so, so proud of all these boys!

Dear Running,

I do not love you ...
Some people do.
They need you, enjoy you, love you!
Not me.

Sincerely,
Camie

P.S. Cards like this help :)

Game 2

Our team's goal jar* is going to be overflowing this year!

[* Goal Jar = a container that is passed around on the sidelines to put money into each time our team scores, the money funds the team party at the end of the season]

Sam and his friend Brody are an unstoppable duo ... the other team's don't really stand a chance.  Even when they are put on defense or in the goal box!   These boys have been watching the older boys for so many years ... and they are sooo excited that it is finally their turn to be out on the field ... that they just can't hold back!
I think if they kept score it would have been like 8-1 :)

Go Roseville Rapids!!

On my mind ...

Taylor Swift's song 'Ronan' is on replay at our house ... so I decided to look into the story that inspired her to write that song.  You can find it here www.rockstarronan.com ...  my heart breaks ... I am going to find a way to make a difference, even if it is just being a little more grateful for my blessings.

Game 1

Yesterday Sam had his first soccer game.  He has been anticipating this moment for days, or possibly years!  He had such a good time running around with his team - he even scored a few goals!

Go Roseville Rapids!

Unofficially Sam reports the score being Rapids 8 - Dynamites 2  ;)

In honor of Sam's 6th Birthday...
Here are 6 things we love about him (although the list could go on and on):

2.  He can Parkour, Parkour anywhere!
3.  He loves his sister and brother, crazy!
4.  He is friends with everyone.
5.  He is full of enthusiasm for life.
6.  He is our best snug bug, always!
