Six Flags

Aimee and her boys came to visit so we took them to Six Flags. The little boys had the best time on all the rides and munching treats during the shows! We wouldn't have had as much fun without Susie as our little helper ... she was super with the boys :)

When They Visit

We love it when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit. This time we celebrated birthdays, saw Susie's play, went to Ben's track meet, and watched Sam at tumbling ! But some of the little things the kids look forward to every time they come are...
Playing school
Going to the park ... no pictures of this cuz this is when mom gets a break :)

Snugging and reading books

Crafting

Celebrating

While they were here, Grandma and Grandpa took us all to Kokyo's to celebrate Ben and Susie's birthday! FUN!

Quotable!

So my big boys are off to Half Moon Bay for a Scout camp out.
Very exciting ... hopefully they will be taking lots of pictures that I can blog about ;) but this post is about Susie commandeering my cellphone and reading an incoming text out loud.
She said ... "No one was suffering and the waves are cold!"
My sister and I were thinking "WHAT?" This is not a good message if the Scouts are at the beach and my husband is the Scoutmaster!!!
I am driving so I say could the word be "surfing??"
She says, "oh, yeah!"
... So I am trying to think "what is Steve saying in this text?" ... when we stopped I was able to sort things out ... and here is the real message:
( received earlier at gymnastics )
Steve: We made it to the Mavericks - now we are off to the campsite.
Me: How was it?
( received in the car )
Steve: No one was surfing but the waves were cool
That's better, right?

New PR

Today was the first track meet of the season and Ben is running the MILE and the 800 METERS. He got his Personal Record in the mile at 6 minutes 30 seconds! I thought that was pretty good since he had be down and out all weekend with the flu.

Rocking the House!

Last night we celebrated Susie's 10th birthday. The girls ROCKED the HOUSE singing and dancing with Wii games. As well as just hanging out eating candy and pizza and cupcakes! I am so glad Susie had a fun time with these cute girls.
Happy (early) Birthday to our cute, spunky Susie!! We Love You!

School Play

Today Susie and her class put on a play called "The War in Mexico" making their social studies unit about California history come to life! She had such a good time preparing for her part, creating scenery and dressing up. Bravo!

One Hour

After just getting over a cold it was time to round up all of Sam raggies and wash them at the same time, this is important because it makes me happy to know that ALL the raggies got sanitized!
... turns out an hour is a long time to wait!
First the washer,
then the dryer,
finally they are done!
Oh ... this boy loves his raggies!
I remember Ben crying while I washed his favorite 'beek' and Susie wondering where her's had gone. Now they are tattered rags tucked away in my cedar chest. I love that my kids love things CRAZY like this!
